That'd be cool. You also have plenty to work with such as witch hunts, and other occult things that were very spooky scary in this time period. Armor is going to be a bit harder to come up with, but blessed trenchcoats and tunics can be fun too. This is also a great time period to place a pirate-themed campaign in. For your players who still want to run around in a gambeson and rapier, it will work just fine. ![]() Using those stat blocks, most enemies will be ranged combatants which is where we see a big transition. ![]() If you want to run a campaign in this period, firearms that use the same stat blocks will still work just fine. During the American Revolutionary and Civil Wars, we saw not much armor but we still see firearms and swords being used together. Now when we translate later into the Classical Era, this becomes a bit more clunky.
